Description:

This is the sound of hustle and bustle and a variety of voices
belonging to people of all gender and ages all going on simultaneously; customers bargaining prices and vendors hawking their goods. It makes one imagine the odour and atmosphere at a typical marketplace where these diverse activities have been a common scene for hundreds of years. Items on sale reveal the identity of their origin. For instance, at a fresh market in Songkhla, one could buy young green leaves of the cashew nut tree, jik and mui leaves that can be found all-year round mainly due to the wet and humid climate. Southern folks take advantage of the abundance of vegetables that they usually eat with spicy dishes.
