Super Marquee Text v1.0

The Super Marquee Text extension is a Light weight, smooth text scrolling, interactive Flash component. It is highly flexible and customizable to your needs. It can run in Flash player 6 and above versions. The features can also be controlled via ActionScript. This is a user friendly component for beginners and a time saver for professionals. It can be used for scrolling news, text advertisements, web applications like music players etc..

Installation and usage

# Unzip the file. Double click on the â€œSuper_Marquee_Text.mxpâ€ file, or open
Extension manager and click on install button.
# Read and accept the license agreement by Clicking on â€œAcceptâ€.
# You will get an alert saying its successfully installed. Click â€œokâ€.
# Open a Flash document.
# Go to File > Publish settings (Ctrl+Shift+F12) > Flash tab and check for player
and script settings. ActionScript 3.0 is not supported right now.
# Go to Window > Components (Ctrl+F7)
# You will find â€œStandard Componentsâ€ folder with the Marquee component.
# Drag and drop the component to the Stage and select it.
# Go to Window > Component Inspector (Shift+F7)
# Adjust the settings to your needs and enjoy.

Features

# Text (myText) - Type any text, number, punctuation or special character
# URL (myURL) - Type the URL to open in a new window on clicking the text. If you don't
want any link, just leave it blank.
# Area width (area) - The width of the visible area of scrolling text.
# Direction (dir) - The direction of the scrolling text, left or right.
# Speed (speed) - The scrolling speed of the text.
# Font Name (fontName) - Choose your desired font. Some fonts may not display special
characters.
# Font Style (fontStyle) - Choose your font Style: Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic
# Font Size (fontSize) - Choose a font size.
# Font Color (fontColor) - Choose a font color
# Letter spacing (letterSpacing) - Spacing between each character. (Supported only in Flash
player 8 and above versions)
# Click to Pause (enableClick) -.Enable / disable pausing of scrolling text on click.

The above features can also be set via ActionScript using their property names given in brackets above.
The following example changes the text color by giving an instance name to the component "myMarq" and setting the "fontColor" property a value "0xFF0000". Color should be specified in hexadecimal format.

myMarq.fontColor ="0xFF0000"

You can change other properties similarly.
