Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is an upcoming action-adventure game, and the sixth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. A sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III, the game will see the player take on the role of an Abstergo Industries research analyst as they explore the story of Edward Kenway – father to Haytham Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton and an ancestor of Desmond Miles. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be set primarily on and around the islands in the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century, with three major cities consisting of Havana, Nassau and Kingston. The game was released in North America on 25 October 2011 and in Europe on 28 October 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.[4] EA Mobile also confirmed a port for the iOS platform. The game sold 5 million copies in its first week of release,[5] and received critical acclaim from most game reviewers. It is the first game in the series that does not support versions of Windows prior to Windows Vista as the game only supports DirectX 10 and 11.[6] The PC version is exclusive to EA's Origin platform,[7] through which PC users also authenticate when connecting to the game. The game's sequel, Battlefield 4, is expected to be released in fall of 2013. Grand Theft Auto IV (commonly shortened GTA IV) is a 2008 open world action-adventure video game, developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 29 April 2008, and for the Microsoft Windows on 2 December 2008. It is set in a different fictional universe to previous Grand Theft Auto titles, depicting a separate timeline from its predecessors (known as the "high-definition universe"[3]) and set in the fictional Liberty City, based heavily on modern day New York City.[
