Description:

Hmong is one among 6 hilltribe groups living in the mountains of the
north, west and northeast of Thailand. The word â€œHmongâ€ means freemen.
Their ancestors originally lived in southern China around 3,000 years BC, but migrated to the high mountains of Thailand about 100 years ago. They are said to have the most frequent relocation movement ,and the best financial and educational status among the other hilltribes. A large number of their children attend Thai schools up to the university level.
The sound recorded is that of Hmong children playing merrily in Sob-kham village, Pong district, Phayao province.
