Description:

The biggest market of Bangkok was formerly situated in Sanam Luang.
It was moved to its present site in Lardyao, Jatujak District in 1983, opposite the main station of Thanayong Metro. The marketplace is known to foreigners as JJ market. Covering an area of 69 rai, it comprises more than 10,000 stalls selling a variety of local products from all parts of Thailand and imported goods alike, such as food, necessities, new and used items. The market is open from afternoon till midnight on Fridays; 8:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. on Saturdays and Sundays. It is known to be the largest and busiest of all markets in Thailand. Prices of items here are negotiable.
The sound recorded is that of the voice of a garment vendor hawking his goods while dancing to the rhythm of Thai folk music in the background.
