use shared object to store shopping cart

Lets say if i have add to cart buttons already set up in my flash file to communicate with paypal and i have a couple of components like dropdown menu, radio buttons and checkboxes with with options that when chosen it sends the values to paypal. I am wondering if it works on this file where they add to cart and all the values show up in the shopping cart.
